Walkers

‘Sports Medicine Australia’ recommend at least a half hour activity per day, every day for all adults for maintenance of health.

Walking is one of the most convenient ways of achieving this and can be done alone, with a partner or even in groups.  If pain or discomfort while walking slows you down, discourages you or stops you walking consult NCP.

If you are new to ‘walking for exercise’ some initial discomfort can occur.  It is important that niggling but continuing concerns be evaluated by NCP.  Treatment could be as simple as switching ‘stretches’ from before you walk to after you walk, that is when your deep muscle temperature is high enough for muscle fibres to retain the new stretched length!
